One of the biggest challenges in inspecting and maintaining cold pipes and surfaces below 0\u00b0C is the risk of moisture forming when the insulation is removed. When this moisture freezes, it creates ice layers, which is an irreversible process as long as the facility is in normal operation. The ice makes it impossible to install new insulation and encapsulation \u2013 therefore, such tasks are usually carried out during shutdowns \u2013 intensive periods of work with many people involved, short deadlines, and tight schedules.
